How to Pay The Bills with your Music

When I started making beats in 2003 I was an electrical engineering student at the university of Hawaii. Through Falling out with my parents and the weird twists and turns that life hands you I ended up homeless in Texas a few years later.

I had to think fast on my feet and while most people look at this music business as a lottery ticket to living that Hollywood lifestyle, I had to use my skills in music to survive and put food on the table.

I don't care much for becoming a multi-millionaire or living in mansions.  I am happy earning 60k+ a year and being able to support my family comfortably with what I love doing.  Of course I work day in and day out to take my career to the next level and earn those 7 figures, but I am more than content being able to live and follow my dreams in a career that helps me learn more and more each day.

I put together a free course with everything I learned over the years working for myself.  I have done PC repair, contract driving and those businesses helped me learn skills that I could apply to the music business.  This course is free to you, but best believe it cost me thousands of dollars to learn this information.

Just fill out the box to the right to get access to this 18 part E-mail course with myself as a case study where you'll get to see what I do to pay the bills with my music on a daily basis from running a home studio to booking shows and selling beats and music online.

  1. You went through some rough moments… Right now I’m in college but I want to join the music industry as soon as I graduate. I don’t want to be a mogul, I just want to get my music out there and be happy doing so.

  11. Most people miss all the money because they're too busy trying to impress the major labels. The money is there to be made if you're smart about it. Your free course helps a lot but don't get it twisted.. you gotta invest if you want to ever make it in this industry.

  12. Very noble of you to not "need" a million dollars. You speak very well about just wanting to do what you love and making money doing it.

  13. I think you are on the right track with what you say about doing what you love. So many people get caught up in the lifestyle and the money and music becomes too much "work" for them. Bravo.

  16. I'll definitely be signing up to learn more about how you manage to support yourself financially, whilst still being able to produce great beats. I would personally struggle without support from my family and friends, but I'm sick of relying on them, when this is supposedly my journey. Looking forward to your email!
